白三烯D4是γ-谷氨酰转肽酶代谢LTC4产生的过敏反应慢反应物质（SRS-A）的成分之一。白三烯D4是LTC4的第一个半胱氨酸白三烯代谢物。白三烯D4诱导的支气管收缩和血管通透性增强是哮喘和急性超敏反应的发病机制之一。
